Introduction

The department of POLITICAL SCIENCE was started in July 1983, with estabilishment of the college, to provide political education to the student living in educationally, socially and economically backward area. The main objective of the deparment is to impart political knowledge to the studnent for making them good citizens. The department aims to create political awareness among the student in general and Political problems in particular. It also attempts to create research aptitude, sense of ethical, moral values and social responsibility among the students.

Objectives of the Department

• To create interest among the student about Political Science.
• To make them aware of the Political problems and policies of the Government to solve the problems.
• To acquaint them with resources and infrastructure of the region and optimum use of it for Political development.
• To create awareness among the student regarding employment opportunities and generation of income from other sources.
• To prepare the students for various competitive examinations.
• To Create research aptitude the students.
• To create sense of ethical, moral values and social temperament among the students for good citizens.
