Department of Chemistry

Introduction

The department of Chemistry is established by the Dnyanopasak Shikshan Mandal's, Arts, Commerce and Science College Jintur in 1992. It offers program such as B. Sc. The Department is one of the best for its teaching and research activities. The department of Chemistry is the prime department of the College. The alumni of the department are holding the higher positions in National Laboratories, Industries, Institutes and Universities. The employment response is more than 75%. Dr. D. P. Kotwal is head in department.

Admission /Eligibility criteria/procedure

B.Sc. Chemistry as Optional Subject (Three Year Course with six Semesters) 

Eligibility: A candidate who has passed 10+2 or equivalent course.

Laboratory facilities

  • The department is well equipped with basic equipment and infrastructural facilities required for chemistry.
  • There are two laboratories with 24 + 32 = 56 tables.
  • Gas burners.
  • 24 h water supply.
