Dnyanopasak Shikshan Mandal was founded in 1981 by conspicuous group of people who dedicated themselves for a social cause. In the course of time Dnyanopasak Shikshan Mandal prospered on the dedication of the people in management and hard work of the people concerned with the mandal. Now-a-days Dnyanopasak Shikshan Mandal is widely appreciated and honoured by the society for its dedication for the upliftment of the rural students. It is identified as the most eminent, ideal and solicitous education society in the Marathwada region. It is a matter of pride that the Dnyanopasak Shikshan Mandal is being continuously guided by the honourable Members of the Management Council. They are dedicating themselves to generate an atmosphere of all pervasive education.
Taking into consideration the importance of teacher training, DS Mandal established two deponing in Education (D.Ed) later. The vast and gigantic Bunyan tree of noble education of Mandal has spread all over the district and beyond. To sum up or at a glance the Mandal runs 4 colleges i.e. two UG colleges (ACS) Jintur & Parbhani one PG college with a research centre, one college of physical education, Parbhani, two D. Ed./D. T. Ed. colleges at Jintur and Parbhani, the Mandal offers school education through seven out of them six Marathi medium schools at Jintur, Bori, Kupta, Rametakli, Renapur and Dudhagaon respectively and even a Urdu medium school in Parbhani.
The Mandal offers other correlated services /facilities i.e. Gymnasium ( Health Club ) at Parbhani, two consumer stores for students at Parbhani and Jintur, one employees’ credit society at Parbhani, a publication at Parbhani, one platform for cultural activities at Parbhani, urban cooperative bank, Parbhani. Keeping an eye on the significance of computer education, the Mandal began to offer PG education in computer education by starting MCA at Parbhani.
After its foundation in 1981 Dnyanopasak Shikshan Mandal established its first college at taluka level at Jintur in 1983, first of its kind imparting quality education to the masses in the streams of Arts and Commerce since the inception and in keeping pace with time, Science stream was started in 1992.
The Mandal’s next giant leap was to establish a college of Arts, Commerce and Science in 1984 at the district level so as to impart quality education to the entire population of the district for which the Mandal was dedicated since its establishment and to create a lighthouse of knowledge as a model of higher education not only for the district but beyond it. The Parbhani college started the department of Computer Science in 1990. the Parbhani College offers UG as well as PG education and a research centre leading to doctoral research.
Taking into account the importance of the maxim “Healthy Mind in Healthy Body” the Mandal established a college of physical education in 1990 in Parbhani.
The visionaries of the Mandal, recognising the importance of higher as well as primary, high school education, the first four schools - Siddheshwar Vidyalaya, Jintur at taluka level and Dnyanopasak Vidyalaya, Kupta Tq. Sailu, Dnyanopasak Vidyalaya, Bori Tq. Jintur and Dnyanopasak Vidyalaya, Rametakli Tq. Pathari were all started in 1986. The secondary school at Renapur Tq. Pathari was started in 1990 and Dnyanopasak Vidyalaya, Dudhgaon was started in 2004. Dnyanopasak Urdu High School was started in 2000 at Parbhani.
Taking in to consideration the importance of teacher training, the Mandal established two Diploma in Education (D. Ed./D.T.Ed.) colleges at Parbhani and Jintur. To boost all round educational growth of the student community the Mandal began to offer educationally correlated services to them. Keeping an eye on the maxim of “Healthy Mind in Healthy Body” Dnyanopasak Vyayam Shala / Gymnasium or Health Club was started in 1990 for various types of exercises. To offer the educational equipments, writing accessories ( Note Books, Record Books, Practical Books, Pens, Pencils, Erasers, refills ect.) at reasonable and affordable prices to students, Dnyanopasak Vidhyarthi Sahakari Grahak Bhandar, Cooperative Consumer Store for students and staff was started at Parbhani 1988 and at Jintur in 1994.
The Mandal also started a cooperative credit society for its employees to offer lone in 1991. The Mandal started Dnyanopasak Urban Cooperative Bank in 1997.
