Department of Botany

Introduction

Dept. of Botany was established in June 1992 with only 10 students at B. Sc. Level. The dept. is one of the prime dept. of Life Sciences and is a integral part of the college. The dept. runs B.Sc. three year degree course as one of the optional subject at UG level. Dept. has 1452 sq. feet built up area with two laboratories. Prof. Dr. Ambadas S. Kadam is heading the deptartment.

• Within a short period of time dept. has earned a wide reputation for providing quality education & fulfilling the demands of higher education in the rural, remote & hilly region of the taluka.
• The main strength of the dept. is highly qualified & experienced faculty which is actively engaged in teaching – learning of the students & research in the field of Botany & Biotechnology.
• Faculty members always looking & guiding the students apart from their regular teaching hours.

• Botany dept. is one of the prime dept. of the college.
• Two students of the dept. received Gold Medals from the S. R.T. M. University , Nanded is the highest achievement of the dept.
• Ku. Raut J. R.(2003) & Ku. Saba Afreen (2013) received Late Prof. D.L . Reddy Gold Medal Awards for securing highest marks in the Botany in S.R.T.M. University Nanded
• Dr. Ambadas S. Kadam received Best JCS Award from S.R.T.M.University Nanded in M/A 2000 Exam.
• Dr. Ambadas S. Kadam received Best Teacher Award of 2012-13 from S.R.T.M.University Nanded.
