Department of Computer Science
Introduction
The department of Computer Science was started with establishment of Science Faculty of Dyanopasak Shikshan Mandal’s Arts, Commerce and Science College Jintur in July 1992. The department is one of the prime department of information and communication technology. It is an integral part of the college. The department runs B.Sc. three years degree course as one of the optional subjects at UG level. The department carried out Internet and Communication training programme for college staff and students. Department also runs certificate course in Website Development for the students’ of all streams. The departments conducts Bridge Course for Computer Science first year students. The Department provides internet facility for students. Number of departmental students goes for higher education studies. The alumni of the department were holding the higher positions in the international Software Companies, Industries, Institutions and Universities. The employment response and self employment is more.
Mission:
The mission of this program is to inform, challenge, and train our diverse students for a constantly changing world of technology.
Aims:
To produce programmers equipped with an understanding of
- Fundamental computational concepts underlying most programming languages.
- A problem-solving technique using computers.
- The role of programming within the overall software development process.
- To solve the solution of small problems using a programming language.
- To clear expression of solutions at different levels of abstraction.
- Independent and self-motivated study in Computing Science.
Objectives of the Department
The department of Computer Science was started with the following objectives
- To provide higher education in computer science to rural, backward & tribal students.
- To provide sound understanding of the principles of computer science.
